When it comes to 3d printing, hardware refers to the printers themselves, the equipment needed and all together the tangible aspects of the technology.

Firstly, Here is a list of tools that have helped me and that are very useful. However, it is a growing list and also some people prefer different tools for the same job. Additionally, a list of replacement parts may also be needed at some point in your 3D printing career.

Moreover, as these parts incur a lot of use, it is of no surprise that they may ware out and as a result need replacing. However, this is down to your discretion. But I recommend checking every six months to a year. Again, this will give your printer a longer life and may improve the print quality. Lastly, if your printer is properly adjusted, components should ware evenly.

And then, there are also upgrades you can consider to enhance the quality of your prints, and to be able to print consistently at hotter temperatures. If this is a goal you wish to achieve then upgrading to an All metal hot end could be appropriate for you. I would also recommend, if you are running a Boden set-up and are considering printing with higher temperatures, changing the PTFE tube from the standard white tube to the blue Capricorn tube is essential due to the blue tube being able to withstand higher temperatures.
